The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great option for those looking for a mid-range robot vacuum and mop. It offers a great mopping experience, but it lacks the advanced features of its more expensive sibling.

During tests it was able to eliminate pet hair and dry oats out of medium-pile carpets. However, unlike other models, it doesn't employ LIDAR to help you map your home.

1. IRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuums. It comes with a variety of features and incredible cleaning power, including the dirt compartment integrated into the charging base. This robot can also learn your habits of cleaning and suggest automated schedules to ensure you have a hands-free experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once the system is set up, you can start cleaning automatically with just one button click. You can select an overall clean which focuses on the elimination of larger particles like cereal and rice. Or you can opt for two thorough mappings to ensure that the entire home is completely cleaned.

This vacuum works well on floors that are unfinished and carpets with a low pile. It is able to take large objects and doesn't lose suction as rapidly as other models do and can pick up pet hair with ease. It's a challenge with carpets that are high-pile or plush however, iRobot promises that the next models will be better.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that is focused on enhancing the edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt an open-fronted, flat-fronted design, which will allow it to hug furniture and walls. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are standard however we found it only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also has superior filtration which blocks tiny particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. We think this is a nice claim but not enough to justify a higher price.

Its smart navigation system employs a combination of sensors to remember your home's layout and vSLAM technology to map the interior. This allows it to avoid obstacles, such as staircases and other barriers, and to tidy up your entire home in the most efficient manner possible. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and schedule cleaning times, as well as create virtual boundary markers, so it is aware of areas that require more attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it is about robots that combine mopping and vacuuming the Roborock Q Revo is a standout. Its vac settings are just as efficient as those found on higher-end models and its mopping system is superior, as its spinning pads do a much more impressive job of cleaning your floors than a stationary vibration pad.

The only issue is that it does not have an additional rubber brush to provide more thorough cleaning, but that's an acceptable cost to pay for if you want to get one of the best robots available. The robo-vac's tank for dust is also bigger than those on many of its competitors and takes only two or three cycles to fill it, even with the highest dirt level.

For the mopping system, I was amazed by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. The two mopping modes that it has that are less aggressive than the high-powered ones, generate very little noise, which allows you to work or even watch television without interruption. It will gently hit a wall or furniture and then move on when it encounters one.

What really makes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to function almost autonomously with very little need for user intervention. The dock of the robo-vac can be multi-functional and automatically transfers trash into a hidden bin. It also washes and dries, as well as refills the clean water tank. The app is adept at notifying you when something needs attention, such as the water tank that is running out of clean or a scheduled vacuuming session that was cancelled due to a full dust bin.

You can also create or combine rooms to personalize the way Q Revo manages your home. This is a great feature to have if you have several areas of the home with different floor materials or if there's clutter that must be cleared out regularly, such as clothes, toys and books. The robot vacuum was also one of the best performers in my test cleaning up debris from carpets and hardwood floors in the first pass. It can also vacuum & mop in one up wet spills however I would recommend cleaning them off with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a high-end robot vacuum and mop combo and more. It has a rotating mop and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It's akin to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has a self-cleaning base station that automatically empties and washes the mop pads, keeping them germ-free and ready for use again. It also comes with a brand new sensor system that can better recognizes obstacles, giving it the ability to avoid falling over furniture and other objects.

The most notable improvement over the ECOVACS the X1 Deebot is its sleeker, modern design. This is due to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. The robot is still large--it measures over two feet in both height and depth, and weighs nearly four pounds. However the robot cleaner with mop as well as its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo and iRobot j7.

This version is also more efficient than the X1, as it charges faster and can complete a cleaning of around 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also has a larger and more robust dust bin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

Finally, the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app as well as a voice assistant that works offline, which means you can use it even if you're not home. It also has more mopping options and an intelligent routing feature that allows you to clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead just following a set route.

The X2 Omni is the top mopping robot. Its mop pads rotating clean tough stains and its motor produces lots of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is also excellent, and it increases suction when it detects carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It also has a massive battery that can last for several weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as efficient as any we've seen in a consumer-grade robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a top-quality robot vacuum and mop that comes with a range of convenience features you do not often find on robots at this price. It can make detailed floor maps and detect different types of flooring. It's also one of the few robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These features are great, but they also make the L10s more of a luxury category. This could mean it's more expensive than homeowners need.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It's tall and slim, with a white finish that is complemented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine features an enormous bumper that shields the furniture and vacuum that cleans and Mops cleaner while moving around your home. Sensors are concealed behind the front pane which help the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button that serves as an on/off switch. This button will activate the vacuum. If you click it again, it will turn it off and transmit it to its base station. The circular menu in the center of the control panel allows you to choose cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons below the screen will bring up the app's settings menu where you can modify how the L10s Ultra integrates with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of cameras and LIDAR technology to map out your home. The mops also work well, vacuum that cleans and mops removing 98.4 percent of the debris from our tile, carpet and wood tests. However, it wasn't as great at tackling sand on the hard floor and quaker oats on the carpet.
