The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent choice if you're looking for a mid-range mop and robot vacuum. It provides a fantastic mopping experience, but doesn't have the features that make up its more expensive sibling.

During tests it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats out of medium-pile carpets. It doesn't use LIDAR, however, like cheaper models do to identify your home.

1. iRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuums. It is loaded with features and incredible cleaning power, including the dirt compartment built into the base of charging. This robot can learn your habits of cleaning, and suggest automated schedules that will give you the ultimate hands-free cleaning experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the setup process. Once everything is connected, you can start the automated cleaning functions with the click of a button. You can select a general clean, which prioritizes the removal of larger pieces of debris like cereal and rice. You can also choose two mappings to ensure that your entire home is cleaned thoroughly.

This robot vacuum performs well on both floors that are bare and carpet with a low pile. It is able to take large objects and does not lose suction as fast as some others do, and it can even pick up pet hair without much difficulty. It's a challenge with high-pile carpets or plush carpets however, iRobot claims that future models will be better.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that concentrates on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt an open-fronted, flat-fronted design, which it hopes will allow it to be able to swaddle furniture and walls. It's a nice improvement over the standard hockey puck shape of robovacs, but we found it to be incrementally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims that the S9+ comes with an improved filtering system that blocks microscopic dust particles and allergens from recirculating within your home. It's a nice claim but we're not convinced it's enough to justify the price tag.

Its smart vacuum navigation system utilizes sensors to keep track of the structure of your home, and vSLAM for mapping the interior of your home. It then cleans your entire home efficiently by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, as well as establish virtual boundaries, so it knows to avoid areas that require more attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a machine that combines vacuuming and mopping. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those of more expensive models and its mopping feature is superior, as its spinning pads do a much more impressive job of scrubbing your floors than a stationary vibration pad.

It's only downside is the lack of a second brush to allow for deeper cleaning. However, it's not a major issue for those who want to own one of the top robots available. The dust tank of the robo-vac is bigger than most of its competitors and filling it up takes only two or three times, even when you've got a lot of dirt.

In terms of the mopping device, I was amazed by its ability to remove hard-to-clean dirt from my floors. Its two lowest mopping settings, which are less powerful than the high-powered settings, produce little noise, so you can work or watch television without getting distracted. If it comes across a wall or piece of furniture, it gently bumps into it and moves forward.

The Q Revo is unique in that it runs almost entirely on its own, requiring only minimal user involvement. The robo-vac features a multi-function dock that automatically transfers physical garbage into the bin hidden from view and washes and dry mop pads and replenishes its clean water tank. The app will only inform you if something is wrong, such as low water levels or a canceled vacuuming session due to an empty bin.

You can also combine or create actual rooms in order to customize the way that Q Revo handles your home. This feature is helpful if you have different flooring in different areas of your home, or if you need to regularly remove clutter, such as clothes, toys, and books. The robo-vac was also one of the Best Home Vacuum Cleaner performers in my test and was able to remove debris from carpets as well as hardwood floors with the first pass. It can vacuum up even wet spills. I suggest drying them with a towel before sending it in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a premium robot vacuum and mop and more. It has an omni-rotating mop as well as a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It's akin to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with an auto-cleaning base station that automatically cleans and empty mop pads, keeping them clean and ready for use again. It also comes with a brand new sensor system that is able to better detects obstacles, giving it the ability to prevent falling over furniture and other objects.

The biggest difference over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that it is sleeker and more modern design due to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for its Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still quite large. It measures over two feet in height and depth and weighs in at least four pounds. However the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

This version is also more efficient than the X1 version, since it has a faster charging speed for batteries and can handle a complete cleaning of about 1,500 square feet in one charge. Additionally, it comes with a larger dustbin that is more durable and can hold more debris and is easier to empty when needed.

Lastly, the X2 Omni has a more user-friendly app and voice assistant that operates offline, which means you can manage it even when not home. It also comes with an intelligent routing feature that lets it clean specific areas or best home vacuum cleaner rooms of your home, instead of following a set path.

The X2 Omni has the top mopping performance of any robot we've tested, thanks to its rotating mop pads that remove tough stains and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is also top-notch, and it boosts suction when it senses a carpet to ensure a thorough cleaning. It also has a large battery that can last for weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as efficient as anything we've seen in an ordinary robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a high-end model that comes with a variety of convenience features not often found on robots in this price range. It can build detailed floor maps, detect different flooring types and is one of the few robots that automatically wash and dry the mop pads. But while these functions are useful, they also make the L10s Ultra more in the category of luxury which could make it slightly more expensive than some homeowners require.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It's slim and tall and has a white-colored finish, accentuated by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by an enormous bumper, which helps protect furniture and the vacuum from damage when moving through the house. In the pane in the front is additional navigation technology with sensors that help the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button which acts as an on/off switch. Clicking this will turn on the vacuum, and clicking it again will shut off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The circular menu located in the middle of the control panel lets you to select cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons will allow you to access the settings in the app, where you can customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map out your home. This creates a detailed floor plan that allows the robot vacuum and mop efficiently without getting stuck in cluttered areas. The LIDAR assists the robot vacuum to avoid obstacles and recognize them and avoid them, which is a great feature for homes with pets or small children.

The L10s Ultra offers solid vacuuming performance, clearing 98.4 percent of debris from our hardwood floor test and taking out all but the most stubborn juice stain. Its mops also do a great job and remove 98.4% debris from our tile, carpet and wood tests. It was not as efficient in removing sand from our hard floor or quaker oatmeal from the carpet.
